ATEN Launches Software to Provide Centralized Management

By ChannelWorld Bureau Thu, Jul 23, 2009

ATEN introduced the CC2000 Control Center Over the NET management software as part of the Centralized IT Infrastructure Management Solution (CITIMS).  CC2000 offers a single portal for centralized management of all devices managed through Altusen products, claimed the company.  According to the company, all of the CC2000 servers on the installation can view and manage each other’s devices.

The Master-Slave paradigm safeguards data transmissions through its built-in redundancy factors, such as automated database backup, and real-time database updating, said the company. In addition, the KVM port, serial port and power outlet of an IT device can be associated in the same web page, which enables IT
administrators to control a device from a single user interface, said the company.

“Enterprise level corporations require a solution that reduces IT operation costs and increases IT productivity.  ATEN offers an economical, centralized remote access and management of devices in
multiple datacenters and distributed remote offices,” said Kevin Chen, President, ATEN.

The CC2000 offers security features that include both internal and external authentication with security policies that permit user authorization to be tightly configured down to a port-by-port basis, claimed the company.
