For a company set up during the disillusioning, recessionary year of 2008, Greenvision Technologies has grown remarkably in the past two years. Biju Bruno, Founder and Managing Director of the company is no novice at setting up an establishment. He began with Triad Computers two decades ago.

“I wouldn’t say that there were huge issues when we set up the Greenvision even though it was bang in the middle of the recession. As we had just started out, the pressure was minimal. The only issue was that the business was slow to come by. The experience of working in a similar field and having set up a company previously eased us into the business,” says Bruno.

Greenvision focuses on solutions in energy storage, power backup & protection using conventional and alternate sources of energy, network integration and manufacturing industrial batteries that sells under the brand name Relicell. “The systems integration market is overcrowded. To add value to our products we did not want to fight for crumbs in the sector. We make our own products in the solar and alternate energy sector. There is a huge scope here as a short fall in the power production has created a space for alternate energy,” says Bruno.

The company has shown a growth of more than 200 percent for year the 2009-10. “I attribute this to our technical expertise that is exceptional in the electronics and electro-chemical areas. Also our reach and network in nearly 63 cities has helped us build a strong services wing. Finally we make sure that there is adequate finance available to proceed with a project without which nothing can work well,” adds Bruno.
“Except for the network integration solutions, the rest of the products are manufactured by us. So, we don’t have to worry about the targets set by vendors,” says Bruno.

Greenvision focuses largely on the BFSI sector. They also are planning to launch products for the consumer market in January. “We are setting up a battery manufacturing factory outside of Bangalore, the trial runs for which should begin in April next year and we should be all set to go by July. Also our solar products range that range between 1-1.5 kilowatts for the consumer sector are set to launch early next year at an affordable cost,” concludes Bruno.
