Arun Firodia is the chairman of Kinetic Group. Firodia has given revolutionary products like Luna and Kinetic Honda. Firodia has been instrumental in designing a 90-seater aircraft, an earthquake warning system and an instrument to enable visually challenged people to listen to books or newspapers.

Arun Firodia has been the chairman of National Innovation Council–Industry Sector, a member of CSIR, a high-powered committee for National Civil Aircraft Development Project and chairman of the Research Council of Central Scientific Instruments Organization, Chandigarh to name a few.

Arun Firodia established H K Firodia Memorial Foundation in 1996 in the memory of his father H K Firodia. The Foundation has instituted the H K Firodia Awards for Excellence in Science & Technology.  These are awarded to Indian scientists for their original and world class contributions to any branch of science. Former President, A P J Abdul Kalam, was the first recipient of this award.

Arun Firodia was awarded Padmashri, India’s fourth highest civilian award, in 2012, for his contribution to nation building.

A brilliant engineer and a social activist, Arun Firodia finished his bachelor in engineering from IIT, Mumbai, MS in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and MS in Management from Sloan School of Management.
