Google Cloud adds over 100 new partners to SaaS program

Google Cloud has on-boarded more than 100 new software-as-a-service partners in four months, spanning 40 countries in a global channel push.

Google Cloud has on-boarded more than 100 new software-as-a-service (SaaS) partners in four months, spanning 40 countries in a global channel push.

Launched in July, the new SaaS program is designed to provide co-selling opportunities for partners, in addition to increased support through technical and marketing offerings.

Partners are also encouraged to list solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) marketplace, gaining access to the vendor’s customer base in the process.

Further channel benefits include improved offloading processes such as billing and revenue collection to Google Cloud.

“Increasingly SaaS has become the preferred method for delivering enterprise applications worldwide, and we at Google Cloud want to provide the best platform for our partners that provide these services,” said Nan Boden, senior director of global technology partnerships at Google Cloud.

“Google Cloud’s aim is to be the platform of choice for SaaS partners, and we’re committed to building and expanding our resources to support them.”

One of the new additions to the program is Upwire, a drag and drop communication workflow builder, designed to allow businesses to innovate in their communications without the need for software developer resources.

Based in Sydney, Upwire also has offices in Hong Kong, the US and UK markets.

From a global standpoint, other key partners include Cognite; Confluent; Cuddle.ai; Groovenauts; happierWork and Iron Mountain, alongside JFrog; Lumapps; PLAID; Quantum Metric; Qubit; SparkCognition and Zenoss.

In addition to rolling out a new SaaS program, Google Cloud also recently increased specialisation levels across the channel across five core areas, spanning security; cloud migration; location-based services; enterprise collaboration and education.

“Many customers need partners with a great deal of experience in a particular area to help them build advanced solutions for their businesses,” Boden added.

“To help customers identify the right partner, we offer Specialisations, a designation that recognises partners with deep technical expertise and proven customer success in a particular area.”

As revealed in July, the vendor has designated 19 new partners in five new specialisation areas, expanding the program to nine total specialisations in the process.

“Partners who have earned a Specialisation have multiple individuals on staff with the highest level of certification, demonstrated and documented customer success stories, and have passed a rigorous capability assessment from experts on our Professional Services team,” Boden explained.
