HDS Appoints Srikant Chakrapani as India Director for Channels and Strategic Alliances

Hitachi Data Systems today announced the appointment of Srikant Chakrapani as Director, Channels and Strategic Alliances for India. He will be responsible for executing the Hitachi TrueNorth Channel Partner program and driving the technology alliances strategy and sales strategy. According to the company, HDS India’s key goal this year is in making the managed partner community successful & profitable around the HDS Storage Solutions stack.

Commenting on his new role, Vivekanand Venugopal, Vice President & General Manager, India, HDS, said, “His industry experience, deep understanding of our solutions, field sales experience and knowledge of our internal systems provides a strong foundation for us to increase our coverage, and assist channel partners capitalize on our solutions and rapidly evolving market opportunities.”

    Accenture, Cisco and Sun still face kickbacks charges

    HP, EMC settled but others continue to fight in cases alleging widespread contracting fraud. Accenture, Cisco and Sun have all had settlement talks in the case, said Packard, the lawyer for Rille and Roberts. "Accenture may very well go to trial, and we have had teams gathering a great deal of evidence for that," he said.
