Texcel’s directors Ravinder Burju and Balaji Singh, who were earlier working with Centrion and Digital respectively, plucked up the courage to venture out on their own. The initial years with Texcel were all about establishing themselves, which has helped them achieve success in sectors that are traditionally known to be difficult. Burju is categorical that those who complain about having to deal with the government either don’t know the ropes or are just complaining that the grapes are sour. “It just takes excellence in one’s job, and the government bodies would come back to you with repeat orders; they make excellent references,” says Burju. Texcel has in its kitty defence and government institutions such as CSRI, CCMB, NGRI, for whom it has done extensive networking and end point security implementations.Texcel’s relationship with vendors is quite significant. SonicWALL, IT Secure, Trend Micro, McAfee, EMC, Sun Microsystems, and HP ProCurve are some names that Burju reels off.
The company has done one of the first 10G implementations in Andhra Pradesh for CCMB, using a combination of Mytel, HP ProCurve, and Microsoft applications. Recalls Burju, “The challenges are in making these technologies talk to one another.”
Storage is fast becoming the bulwark for this young entrepreneur. The company also sees the growth of the enterprise and the SMB segments simultaneously, which makes the market place rich in potential. With a plethora of plans, Texcel is pulling no stops in its journey to destination success.
