Hyperconverged solutions have taken a leap and been in demand over the last few years in the industry. Catching on the wave, Optimistic Technology Solutions signed up with Nutanix. The focus has been on HCI and it has contributed to almost 10 percent in the last fiscal of total revenues.
Similarly, networking was a big focus too, especially in SDN and agile controller. With SDN and NFV becoming popular for enterprise customers, the company had almost one-third revenues from networking in the last fiscal of FY 17-18. Before the start of April 2017, Optimistic started its consolidation strategy, picked one or two leaders of a single technology and restricted its focus only to key technologies in the marketplace. It approached the same set of customers and started broad basing with them in terms of multiple technologies.
The company focused more on hyperconverged, storage, backup and networking technologies, along with security, especially on the IP network part, which was new for it. Today, the company’s portfolio is fairly spread out across technologies with networking at 37 percent, storage and backup contributing to 26 percent, and servers and security raking in 15 percent of the revenues. Enterprise and mid-market contributes almost 45 percent each to the company’s revenues.
