At the 2018 ChannelWorld Premier100 Awards and Symposium, Sankara Krishnan, Director of Alliance and Channel Sales at STT GDC India elaborates on storage trends and the way forward for businesses, and how STT GDC plans to have a worldwide datacentre footprint.

In India, the company acquired a 74 percent stake in Tata Communications datacentres – and operates purely in the colocation hosting services space. ST Telemedia Global Data Centres plans to have a worldwide datacentre footprint and provide connectivity to enterprises across the globe.

This exponential growth in data is one of the key factors why customers are considering colocation services rather than using an on premise set-up.

He also highlighted how businesses are looking to reduce carbon footprint while optimizing operational cost.

The company is currently engaged with channels in India and has already charted plans to grow in the next couple of years. “The time to market – what we can do with a partner is quite impressive. Right from a small power requirement to a huge megawatt kind of requirement. We can scale up to a large deployment within a matter of weeks,” he told the 2018 ChannelWorld Premier100 audience.
