Amarish Karnik has put in his papers at Nutanix.
Amarish has been the India channel chief for the enterprise cloud company for over three years.
He became the Director - General Business and Partners at Nutanix India in February 2016.
“We can confirm that Nutanix’s Channel Sales Manager, India, Amarish Karnik, has resigned his role and will leave in the middle of February to take up a new opportunity,” confirmed Nutanix in an official statement to IDG India.
“Amarish’s departure comes at a time of significant growth for Nutanix in India as we take our business to the next level in line with our vision to fundamentally change the nature and delivery of enterprise IT operations.”

“We would like to thank Amarish for his commitment to Nutanix and his role in running the India channel program. We wish him well in his new venture,” the statement said.
Prior to Nutanix India, Amarish held leadership roles in organizations including Citrix, Cisco and Avaya.
Feb. 14, 2019 would be Amarish’s last day at Nutanix.

Amarish’s departure comes at a time of significant growth for Nutanix in India as we take our business to the next level in line with our vision to fundamentally change the nature and delivery of enterprise IT operations, according to the statement from Nutanix.
India MD for Nutanix Sunil Mahale also quit the company recently, as reported by ChannelWorld India. Sunil was Nutanix India’s first employee, and served the role of vice president and managing director of the company since 2015.

Sunil Mahale and Amarish Karnik have been instrumental in building Nutanix as one of the leading players in the fast growing domains of hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) and enterprise cloud across Indian organizations.
Since Nutanix launched its full-fledged direct operations in India, the company’s customer base includes hundreds of customers across BFSI, manufacturing, retail, pharma, among other verticals.

With over fifteen years of experience in senior business management roles for major IT companies, Amarish was national manager for channels and alliances for Citrix India before joining Nutanix in February 2016.
Amarish holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Pune University.
