Rajesh Janey has a new role as Senior Vice President - Global Alliances at Dell Technologies.
Previously, Rajesh was President and MD, Enterprise Business at Dell EMC India - since September 2016 when tech giant Dell acquired EMC.
“Rajesh Janey joins Jay Snyder’s Global Alliances leadership team and will work closely with our Strategic Outsource and Systems Integrator leaders to foster a true community in India across the entire Global Alliances organization,” mentioned a Dell spokesperson exclusively to IDG India.
In an earlier rejig, Alok Ohrie was appointed as India Chief at Dell Technologies, IDG India had exclusively reported.
“Rajesh Janey joins Jay Snyder’s Global Alliances leadership team and will work closely with our Strategic Outsource and Systems Integrator leaders to foster a true community in India across the entire Global Alliances organization.”
There were industry reports and speculation on the new role for Rajesh after Alok was appointed India MD (as enterprise and commercial businesses were unified in India) for Dell Technologies.
Dell spokesperson stated that Dell Technologies India will be led by Alok Ohrie, and customers and partners will not see any change in their relationship with Dell.
Rajesh will now report to Jay Snyder, SVP, Global Alliances, Service Providers and Industries at Dell Technologies.
Rajesh will spearhead both business and technical executive relationships, and drive governance across our partners in India, mentioned the statement from Dell Spokesperson.
It is an interesting transition for Rajesh - from the pure business (end customer) side to the alliances (partners) side. However, he has been equally proficient in interacting with the partners and alliances in his roles at Dell Technologies, and earlier as India MD for EMC.
The new focused role on global alliances business for Dell Technologies is expected to be a great run for the senior leader who has over three decades of rich experience in India’s ICT ecosystem.
