ISODA announces new management committee for 2018-2019

The tenth AGM of ISODA (Infotech Software Dealers Association) announced N K Mehta as its Chairman and Gunasegharan Krishnan as the association’s President for this year.

The Infotech Software Dealers Association (ISODA) concluded its Annual General meeting last week in Mahabalipuram. 

It was 10th year of the formation of ISODA incepted in 2008 by a handful of channel companies and its owners primarily to fight the taxation structure for software industry at that time. 

ISODA has now grown into a full-fledged and active IT association encompassing over 180 members including channel companies, tech OEMs and others.

... My immediate priority as the chairperson of one of India’s Premium IT Associations ISODA is to create a five year leadership plan, for a better focus on long term vision and thus make a visible difference for ISODA and its members.

N K Mehta, Managing Director, Secure Network Solutions became the Chairman, after being the Vice Chairman last year. Gunasegharan Krishnan, Director, eCaps Computers became the President after being the Vice President last year. 

Amarnath Shetty, Managing Director, LDS Infotech was elected as Vice Chairman and Manasi Saha, Managing Director, Macaws Infotech was elected as the Vice President. Vimesh Avlani, Proprietor of Graftronics was elected as Secretary while Ravi Jalan - Proprietor, Sakti Enterprises was elected as Treasurer.

ISODA has completed 10 successful years as one of the Premium IT Associations of India. “We now have more than 180 members across India. As Chairman my immediate priority is to create a 5 years leadership plan, so that we can better focus on long term vision of ISODA and make a difference for ISODA and its members,” says N K Mehta, Chair Person, ISODA & MD, Secure Network Solutions.

The Chief Guest and Keynote speaker for AGM event was Padma Shri T N Manoharan, Chairman Canara Bank. He spoke on “Learning from Satyam Fiasco” that gave the members insights of Satyam fiasco and why entrepreneurs should run companies with ethics and integrity. 

This was followed by presentations from Internal ISODA member sponsors - XcellHost who spoke on SIEM-as-a-service and Systech Technocraft gave details on VDI solution from Parallels. 

The achievements of the previous Management team were presented. Some key achievements included a successful Tech Summit 8 at Malaysia, increased acceptance to ISODA monthly Mouthpiece called Interconnect, addition of about 30 members across the country including newer states and cities and overall governance of working as a team. Some new chapters were announced and some dormant chapters came back alive. 

L Ashok, CEO, Futurenet Technologies, who was announced as the Tech Summit 9 Chairman in Malaysia presented his ideas about how Tech Summit 9 scheduled for 2019 should shape up in terms of location, event formant, content and plan for execution to the members. 

One of the key priorities on new ISODA Management Committee is creating a platform to help members in matters related to their business cycle including Tax advisory, legal advisory o HR & compliance advisory and Finance a Funding advisory.

Increased liaisoning with Government authorities, other Industry and IT Associations is another focus for ISODA which includes participate in individual association’s flagship events to build more collaboration opportunities and liaison with government authorities and representation for tax related matters.
 
The opening session on day two was delivered by Kumar Vembu, Founder at ZOHO who shared his entrepreneurial journey and gave great tips on customer support and talent retention & management. 

The AGM concluded with Canara Bank Senior executives giving presentation on SME funding options that are available to entrepreneurs. 

ISODA will focus to increase the membership in more states and having more chapters. “This includes at possibilities of opening 4 to 5 new chapters across India. New Chapters like Jaipur, Bangalore to be encouraged to have more members,” says Gunasegharan Krishnan, Director, eCaps Computers and President, ISODA.
 
There will be added focus to promote ISODA as a great technology and knowledge exchange platform throughout the year. 

“We will promote Indian product start-up companies on ISODA platform to launch themselves and encourage new start-up ventures and provide members a great investment opportunity. Technology OEMs will continue to utilize ISODA platform to promote their products to a wider audience,” said N K Mehta, Chair Person, ISODA.
